tilly's style
My Style In Three Words: Comfortable yet chic. My Style Identity: Pearls teamed with just about
everything. I also don't usually go for items right on trend, but prefer to buy
clothing that
has a more timeless style and mix it with accessories or a new pair of
shoes. I've got into the habit of 'borrowing' my mother's vintage Jaeger
jumpers and
incorporating them to create new outfits for the chilly weather. You Can Never Have Too Many: Shoes. (Yes this is
where
Carrie Bradshaw has rubbed off on me.) But it's true, you can't. Shoes
can
transform an outfit. I refuse to check out an outfit in the mirror until
I'm
wearing the chosen shoes to go with it.
Girls On Tour:
The black and white French Connection sun dress is perfect
for travelling.
Comfortable, floaty clothes are ideal for avoiding sticky limbs
in the heat
and gladiator sandals are a god send! - Practical, yet stylish.
Pearls and Jeans:
This is a classic look for me: plenty of pearls dressed downwith French Connection skinny jeans, a Jack Wills coat, Topshop bag and my bargain pair of Nine West plum shoes, which I bought for a bargain price at Tk Maxx. This sort of look is ideal for many occasions: from a first date, to a meal out with the girls, to shopping!
Evening at the Ball:
The idea was to keep it simple. Over the top fake tan, acrylic nails and glitter is not for me, which is why I opted for simple with minimal accessories so the shoes and dress alone can hold a wow factor. I chose this black Karen Millen number for its elegance and the oh so gorgeous shoes are from Kurt Geiger who speak glamorous attitude.
A Night on the Town:
There are those beautiful shoes again..see how diverse they are?! The shift dress is from a reasonably priced boutique on Park Street, Bristol. I love it. It can be worn for just about any occasion and its tailored shape is very flattering. Whenever I go out on the town, I think it's important to get the balance right between showing a little flesh and feeling fabulous. Which is why for me, it's an either/or for legs out and cleavage in order to feel confident and not self conscious.
